I tried fsr again and man in one second i forgot that i start thinking about switch to a 7900xtx. How can anybody buy a amd card thats priced over 400-500€. Fsr fucks up image quality.

In 2024 I’ve got full i7 11700K system for £320. Can’t beat this price to performance.

I got an xtx as well. I did notice that the drivers are a bit buggier than nvidia drivers. And dlss is overall better than fsr from my experience. But other than that, you can't beat the performance value of this card in the current market.

I ran my 3900X for 5 years of transcoding before I noticed a slowdown. That led to receiving a 5900X for Father's Day. I now enjoy greater speed and over 15 degrees lower operating temps with an Artic 34 Duo Sport air cooler with a Silverstone 120mm Sharkas the front fan.

Or something to 125 and tried my cinebench and got higher than my test without changes. So pleased. At 70 years old all I want I’d a good computer for some games and run my home. Thanks again

This chip is officially 300 dollars at microcenter right now and that's a good buy. I think people forget that the prices of the 5,7,9 series of the am4 was higher. I paid 300 for the 5600x when it came out. Why would I complain about the 7900x3d being 300 U.S. and better than the 5600x. Can't wait to see what the 9000 series is about.

My man, you benchmarked CPUs with a 1080-TI on max video settings, including 1440p tests. All the CPUs look the same because you're bottlenecked by the relatively weak GPU for such high graphics settings on GPU intensive games. You could've tested out your overclock with the 1080-TI, but it would've only made sense if you were testing e-sports titles like CS or overwatch that are designed to be CPU-driven games.

Great card, runs insanely cool and undervolts like a charm. Some games have software-based "light" raytracing which AMD cards can handle well and since the 7900xtx performs similar to the 4070ti in terms of RT I think it will remain especially performative in the next few years.

Honestly these results are pretty good especially considering the Pulse XTX is over $500 cheaper than the cheapest 4080S here. On release the XTX was 30% faster than a 3090 and now its 40% with the higher tier Vapor X and Taichi variants being a further 10% faster than the other variants so 50% over a 3090 for less than half the price of the release price 3090 is pretty good imo. I paid $3250 for my 3090 on release and the Pulse XTX is $1389 right now with the XTX being 40% better performance wise, even the extra price of the TUF ($1500) its still $400 cheaper than the 4080S while performing around 15% better in raster. I would go for the Vapor x or Taichi which are the best variants so we are looking at around 50% better performance over a 3090 and around 20% better than a 4080S in raster for $300 cheaper here. Vapor x is $1550 and the Taichi is $1600 so depending on which one you go with its a net saving of $300 to $350. RT and DLSS aren't worth $300 to me personally. Talking about drivers I've had nothing but issues with my 3090 with Destiny 2 TFS update while my mates rigs (6800,7800XT, 7900XT) run it perfectly fine, my system crashes while their rigs charge on. I don't put much stock into the whole AMD drivers are bad comments, most of the issues are user error upgrading from Nvidia cards and not removing old drivers properly. I've sat and helped people fix their issues and 99% of the time its due to not removing Nvidia drivers properly or outdated chipset drivers or both. I tell you I feel like a numpty for not buying a 6800XT instead of this 3090 because my friends 6800 is absolutely fantastic for the $610 price tag.

I just ordered this case, to set aside for a build later on.(Waiting on Arrow lake, Battlemage, RTX5000, CAMM2, ect..) Once it arrives I'm certainly gonna take a peak around it. I may get with a CNC shop to mill a vented panel for the top, to replace the fixed glass one. All the reviews so far that I've watched were quite positive about it. The negative being the somewhat poor ventilation in the top for the GPU. Eventually once I build in it, it will replace my laptop in my semi truck. Been wanting to try out a SFF setup for awhile, so gonna pull the trigger on that.

Better than my FX 8350 with titan x sli I will find out if it improves. I need it for older games.

in june it just hit 319$ at microcenter and 329$ at amazon and newegg. but the 7900x is clearly better. Throwing this percent and that percent is worthless. in a lot of games the difference on average is less than 10 frames overall. in a lot of games its like 3-7. thats useless. once you get to productivity the drop is way more dramatic in every single test/benchmark. the 7900x3d is only good if your building a small form factor pc, using an itx where heat can be an issue....Theres a reason no other channel is rooting for this cpu

I... didn't expect such an increase in just over a year. That's surprising and very very disappointing in a way. Because yes, that seems to match much more to what they advertised in their first keynote on RDNA3. Good work, Nicolas! PS. Did they fix their idle power issue? I know they addressed it early on in the lifecycle, but would have been nice to see it compared here too. ;)
